If you haven't heard - the Gilbert Lee King, Jr. Memorial Tournament or TOBY Tournament is Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Shenvalee Golf Resort in New Market, Virginia. Cost is $50 per person and that includes a $12 deductible donation to the CCAliance, green fees/cart, and a buffet lunch. There are some drawings for prizes and prize money for low score, longest drive and closest to pin.... Email email@example.com for more information.
Thanks to Jim Smith and Mahlen Martin for organizing this along with the staff at the Shenvalee Golf Resort.
Hope to see you there!
Thank You for Supporting Toby
Thank you for visiting Toby's Tribute page and considering making a donation in lieu of sending flowers. If you know Toby, he wasn't a flower kind of guy and would appreciate your involvement in promoting awareness of colon cancer.
Toby lived a life full of friends, family and acquaintances and had a love for living, doing things, and going places. Those who knew him, understood him, and knew he was a good man who liked to banter with old friends and new acquaintances.
Once surprised by the diagnosis of stage four colon cancer, he became an advocate for early detection - Toby was concerned about his friends and asked them to get tested. Like him, we want others to learn from his experience and through this foundation, hopefully have a better understanding of the signs and early symptoms of this silent killer. And, just as important, once diagnosed, fully understand options and the impacts and side effects (that the MDs don't tell you) of treatment options. Toby didn't enter the hospital on February 10th because of colon cancer, he ended up there because of complications from chemotherapy that he didn't fully understand were possible.
We appreciate any donation you make no matter how big or small - so that others may benefit from better education and earlier diagnoses. We thank you in advance for your generosity to help knockout colon cancer and remember Toby at the same time. And, we will keep you informed about the "Toby King Senior Classic" at Shenvelee which may occur in July.
Feel free to write a tribute on his page at http://www.kygers.com/memsol.cgi?user_id=1958960
Thank You and Fondly,
Cheryl, Malinda, and Peggy
