Darcy Egan passed away on September 19, 2018 after an over 2 year journey with colorectal cancer.
Anyone who knows Darcy knows how much she loved to work and contribute. Though unable to work, Darcy found ways to make a positive impact in her community. While receiving treatment, she became very involved in raising awareness about colon cancer; her Undy Run team Darcy and the Polyps remains the largest team in Cleveland in both size and fundraising. She faced every obstacle with a smile and a fantastic attitude, or as she would say, #nocolonstillrollin.
Darcy recently joined the Colorectal Cancer Alliance's Never 2 Young Advisory Board, and was also a third year team captain for the Cleveland Undy RunWalk. To date, she helped raised more than $17,000 for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance whose vision is to end this disease within our lifetime. All donations made in memory of Darcy will support the Alliance's mission to increase screening and prevention, fund cutting edge research including early-age onset, and support patients and their families in need of assistance.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert, her parents, Kelly & Cheryl, her brother, Riley, and many other family members & friends.
