Why I Run
What do we say to the God of Death?
This year we're celebrating 5 years of remission from stage 3 rectal cancer.
Why is 5 years a big deal? The experts say that the chance of a recurrence is dramatically lowered after 5 years with no evidence of disease. Sounds good to me!
My lifetime chances of recurrence with Lynch syndrome still sit around 80%, but let's focus on the positive, shall we?
Today I don't have cancer.
Today I am happy, I am healthy, I am in love.
Today I am choosing to live my best life.
All of the other facts and figures are just noise, and today I don't have time for noise.
Come join us in celebrating many more beautiful days of living life unapologetically on October 5, 2019 at Lunken Airport Playfields.
Please support my involvement in the Undy RunWalk with a tax-deductible donation. Your support will help us prevent colorectal cancer and save lives. For more information on the Undy Run/Walk, please visit ccalliance.org. Thanks for visiting my Undy Run/Walk page!
