Why I Run
My wife Maria was diagnosed with rectal cancer in 2004 at the age of 45. She didn't meet any of the markers. A woman, under the age of 50, cancer didn't run in her family. Because of that, we ignored the warning signs for more than a year. We ignored them, because we didn't understand their meaning.
Education and awareness are why our family participates in the Cincinnati Undy.
Maria was instrumental in bringing the Colorectal Cancer Alliance's Undy event to our area in 2010. It was her way of not only making sense for her affliction but to help raise awareness while helping spare others from needless suffering.
Today, we honor her legacy as we participate in the Cincinnati Undy Walk on October 5, 2019, at Lunken Airport Playfields. Please support my involvement in the Undy RunWalk with a tax-deductible donation or join us at the starting line.
Your support will help us prevent colorectal cancer, save lives and put this dreaded disease behind us once and for all. For more information on the Undy Run/Walk, please visit ccalliance.org. Thanks for visiting my Undy Run/Walk page!
