Why I Run
I am participating in the D.C. ScopeItOut on March 31st at Freedom Plaza. Last year was so exciting, I couldn't wait to do it again.
5 1/2 years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer at my routine 50 year colonoscopy. What a shock! Since then I have had 2 surgeries, many rounds of chemotherapy, a brief remission, 2 microwave ablations on my liver, and finding out it is rearing it's ugly head once again. I'm now seeing Dr. John Marshall, at Georgetown Hospital and one of the researchers CCAlliance sponsors. He has a new plan for me, including a clinical research trial. I'm ready to get started on this new plan. The trials that are out there wouldn't be possible without organizations like CCAlliance.
Please support my involvement in the ScopeItOut with a tax-deductible donation. Your support will help us prevent colorectal cancer and save lives. I would also encourage you to join my team Polly's Posse, and walk with us on March 31st, 2019!
