Why We Run
Why We Run...
Lisa was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002. While her life expectancy was only a year and a half, her stubborn and resilient personality allowed her to more than double it, later passing away in March 2006. She was survived by her loving husband, David, her young triplets, Casey, Reece, and Taylor, and countless other family members and friends.
Every year around her passing, Lisa's family tries to find different ways to give back to the colon cancer community—a community that has given all of us so much and one we all truly wish we could give the world to. On March 31st, we will be participating as a team in the DC Scope It Out in memory of Lisa Dennison.
Please support our team's involvement in the event with a tax-deductible donation. Your support will help us end colorectal cancer and save lives. $0.86 of each dollar goes directly towards supporting families facing colon cancer, and the rest goes towards research, prevention, and awareness.
