Deloitte - Remembering Rich

Why We Run

On March 31st, we will be participating as a team in the DC Scope It Out in memory of Richard Provencher, a loving daddy, husband, brother, son, uncle, friend and co-worker. He lived his life to the fullest and battled colon cancer for several years. His brother Chris ran the SIO for the first time shortly after Rich was diagnosed in 2012 and by 2013 we had one of the largest teams and were the highest fundraisers. Rich continued to walk in 2014 before he passed away on October 27, 2014 leaving behind his wife, Meredith, and two young sons, Brayden and Clayton, in addition to his large family and network of friends. We miss him every day but continue to pursue his dream of finding a cure to this dreaded disease.

Whether you knew Rich, one of his family or friends or are simply looking to help fight colorectal cancer, please join us to walk or run in his memory or support our team's involvement in the event with a tax-deductible donation. Your support will help us end colorectal cancer and save lives.
