Got The Runs

Why We Run

HI! I'm Jules and as you may know by now I was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in August 2016. Since then I have had 16 rounds of systemic chemo, 2 surgeries and 2 ER visits, one of which turned into an admission. The cancer metastasized to my lungs and I now "live with metastatic disease" (or in layman's terms - stage IV). All of this has left my family and I with little doubt about how quickly life can change.

I am participating in the D.C. ScopeItOut on March 31st at Freedom Plaza. The proceeds from this event go towards funding for a cure, funding for research into new and better screening and diagnostic tools and funding for patient and caregiver support. This event is also a gathering of survivors and ally's that celebrate all of us who are fighting this disease, weather we are in active treatment, supporting someone who is, or if we are remembering loved ones we have lost. It is an outpouring of love.

Please consider joining my team Got The Runs and helping me raise some much needed funds for this cause, and of course I can't wait to see you in DC to walk this event with everyone - though I do hope to be running it next year!

Please support my involvement in the ScopeItOut with a tax-deductible donation. Your support will help us prevent colorectal cancer and save lives.

For more information on the event, please visit Undyrunwalk.org or the Colorectal Cancer Alliance's website at CCAlliance.org.
Thanks for visiting my D.C. ScopeItOut page!

Much love,
Walking On...
