Why I Run

I run for my dad, Joe Merle Telford, who passed away from colon cancer in 2014. It was a short battle but one that changed my family's life forever. I run in his memory. I run for others who continue to fight and live. I run for the caregivers and advocates who provide the most important support system. I run for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance's research, education, and caregiving initiatives that help save lives.

I am participating in the D.C. ScopeItOut on March 31st at Freedom Plaza. Please support my involvement in the ScopeItOut with a tax-deductible donation. Your support will prevent colorectal cancer and save lives.

For more information on the event, please visit Undyrunwalk.org or the Colorectal Cancer Alliance's website at CCAlliance.org.
Thanks for visiting my D.C. ScopeItOut page!

Joe was the best husband and dad that a family could have. We miss him deeply. With the help of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance I hope that medical research will find a cure for this terrible disease soon.

You don't know me, Jamee. I'm a friend of Mark Davis' from college. My dad, James Milton Massard, died of colon cancer on September 13, 2010. He was the best dad in the world, and I miss him every day. Thank you so much for running to raise money for this important cause.
